With the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City making big moves, Liverpool can’t stay behind and have been looking for reinforcements themselves.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping to be reunited with Jakub Blaszczykowski, who was one of the German’s star performers at Borussia Dortmund, according to report by Bild.
The 30-year-old Poland international, who played for his country at Euro 2016 and scored two goals, is available for around £4.9 million after spending last season on loan at Fiorentina. He’s under contract until 2018.
In addition, Liverpool have made a £12.8 million bid for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ante Coric, with Klopp hopeful of sealing a deal ahead of the Reds’s pre-season tour of America, according to the Daily Mail.
Coric was the youngest player in Croatia’s Euro 2016 squad, being aged just 19 years, and provided five goals and six assists in 41 appearances in all competitions last season, including four in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, West Ham are ready to enter the bidding for Christian Benteke, with Crystal Palace looking to sign the Belgian for around £30 million, according to a report by The Sun.
The Belgium international’s representatives are aware of interest and are set for talks with the Hammers this week.
