Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign German forward Leroy Sane from Schalke 04, according to a report by German outlet Bild.
The Citizens will put between £42 million and £50 million on the table for the 20-year-old, who has agreed a four-year deal to join Pep Guardiola at the Emirates.
Sane has been on City’s wishlist for a long time and back in January, it was claimed that the Citizens were ready to make a £46 million bid for the talented winger. Such a fee would make Sane the most expensive German football player ever.
The 20-year-old provided nine goals and seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Schalke 04 last season, showcasing his talents as a creative and speedy forward.
He made his senior debut for the Royal Blues in 2014, after coming through the respected youth ranks of the Bundesliga club, and has hit the target eleven times in 47 league appearances in his young career.
Sane was part of Joachim Low’s Germany squad at Euro 2016 and was also linked with Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
