Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly set to leave Napoli this summer, but not for Arsenal or Liverpool,as the striker has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus.
Juventus now have to convince Napoli to sell their star man, who scored a league record 36 goals last season as the Partenopei finished second behind the Bianconeri. Higuain has a £78.4m release clause in his contract and Juve are willing to add a set of players in order to satisfy Napoli’s needs.
Meanwhile, Manchester United fans believe the Old Lady are already spending the money they will receive from a Paul Pogba sale…to the Red Devils:
It’s so obvious Juve are using the Pogba money for Higuain

If Juventus are paying *that* sort of money for Higuain then it means Pogba is definitely off. — Sam McGuire (@SamMcGuire90) 14 juli 2016
Juventus are prepared to pay Higuain’s release clause at €94m. The only way they could possibly afford this is to sell Paul Pogba. #MUFC

If Juventus sign Higuain it effectively means that Pogba to United is all but done. It’s impossible for them afford the finances without… — ㅤㅤㅤ (@Schweinmaster) 14 juli 2016
If Higuain is heading to Juventus, unless Juventus have found a gold chest under the sea, Pogba is DEFINITELY leaving!

I really hope Juventus sign Higuain. Because this could open the door for us to sign Paul Pogba as Juve may need ££. #MUFC #Juve — Aidan Walsh (@AidanMUFC_) 14 juli 2016
Juventus were broke last week. Now they’re bidding 75 million for Higuain. Pogba money being spent already#MUFC

Juventus apparently close to buying Higuain. They cant do that without some money so Pogba to #MUFC seems odds on right now. — Nqobile Ndlovu (@turkish_nabs) 15 juli 2016
However, there were also tweets trying to tell United fans that this might not be the case:
To all #MUFC fans: #Juventus DON’T have to sell Paul #Pogba to buy Gonzalo #Higuain

As I stated yesterday.. => No need to sell Pogba to afford Higuain.. Also, if Juve were to sell Pogba, they’d go for 2 MFs first before a ST
— Arjun Pradeep (@IndianRegista) 15 juli 2016
Not entirely convinced Juve will sell Pogba to fund Higuain because they can make a lot of money from player sales. Rugani, Perreyra Zaza.
— Everything Manutd (@unkwown1234) 15 juli 2016
Juve buying Higuain might not necessarily mean they’re selling Pogba. They’ve €30m from Morata and could get €30m from Lemina and Pereyra.
