Paul Pogba has told his family and closest friends that he intends to leave Juventus in order to return to Manchester United, snubbing Real Madrid in the process.
That’s according to French newspaper L’Equipe (via The Sun), which states Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola is understood to have advised him to join United and has promised the club he will do his utmost to persuade Pogba to join them.
According to multiple reports on Thursday, as this one by The Guardian, Manchester United will offer Juventus £100 million for the services of the France international.
The proposal is to be made jointly by the Red Devils and Raiola after Euro 2016 has concluded, as the midfielder will face Portugal in the final on Sunday.
However, United are also preparing a massive wage offer, which would translate to a staggering £11.1 million per season for a five-year contract. That would essentially be trebling his current salary in Turin.
Juventus have made it clear they are not indending to sell their 22-year-old star, but could be tempted by the thought of selling a player back to his former club at a huge profit.
