For months, Paul Pogba has been linked with a transfer to back to Manchester United. The Juventus player once left Old Trafford on a free transfer, but United have been rumoured to put huge cash on the table to lure the France international back to England.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football-Italia), they did just that on Monday. The Red Devils will invest a total of £151 million for Pogba, including a £100 million transfer.
However, Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, categorically denied all these claims in an interview with Goal on Tuesday. “All of what you read is bullshit. That’s all there is”, he said.
Still, on Wednesday, various Italian newspapers (via Football-Italia) claim Pogba has told Juventus he wants to leave to the club in order to join the Red Devils. This is crucial for any deal to happen, as the Serie A champions have always said they weren’t planning to sell Pogba, unless he asks a transfer himself.
On Thursday, Raiola tweeted his view once again:
There is no deal done regarding Paul Pogba, lots of bla bla bla.

This added to Beppe Marotta, Juve’s Sporting Director, who told SportItalia (via Het Nieuwsblad): “The situation with Pogba hasn’t changed since last week,” referring to the Old Lady’s wish not to sell the 23-year-old unless he wishes to leave the club.
On Friday, Corriero dello Sport published an interview with Raiola. The Dutch agent once again slammed rumours of a possible Pogba transfer to United.
“I don’t care about setting record transfers,” he said. “The newspapers write that Pogba can set a new record, but I’ve already set records with Ibrahimovic and [Pavel] Nedved. I want the best for my footballers, and that therefore means also for Pogba.”
