Carlos Bacca’s agent is expected to meet West Ham United next week after AC Milan received and accepted a formal £25.6 million offer, according to Football-Italia.
The Colombian striker joined the Rossoneri from Sevilla last summer, and scored 18 goals in his first season in Serie A. However, with the Diavolo missing out on Europe again for the coming season and new coach Vincenzo Montella seemingly unwilling to fit Bacca into his plans, it has been suggested he could leave the club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website (via Football-Italia), the Hammers offer for the Colombia international was accepted and the deal will be closed in the next few days.
Bacca currently makes £60.000 per week at Milan, being the club’s joint-top earner. He’s expected to double his wages, up to £120.000 per week, becoming the joint-top earner with Dimitri Payet at West Ham, according to a report by The Daily Mail.
Atletico Madrid were also interested in the services of Bacca, but they have seemed to have turned their attention to Chelsea’s Diego Costa.
