Liverpool-reject Mario Balotelli has finally found some form on his loan move with Ligue 1 side Nice.
The 26-year-old, who joined Liverpool in 2014 for £16m, managed to score just one goal in his first season for the Reds. In the summer of 2015, he joined his former club AC Milan on a loan move. However, his time with Milan was plagued with injuries, and he managed only eight starts and a solitary goal during his second spell with the club.
This summer, he joined Nice on a free season-long loan move, and he has already scored four goals in two appearances. He has scored braces in two consecutive league games for the French club.
Last night, his brace helped Nice to a 4-0 win over AS Monaco and propelled the club to the top of the Ligue 1 table.
On September 11, Balotelli scored a brace in the Nice’s 3-2 win over Marseille.
The Italian’s contract with the Reds expire next summer, and if he manages to have a decent season with Nice, there will be a lot of clubs interested in signing him as a free agent.
