The Monday night clash between Liverpool and Manchester United was preceded by a lot of anticipation from both sets of fans.
The game surely failed to live up to its billing as Mourinho’s United stifled the hosts into a goalless draw. However, what was even more irritating for the Liverpool fans was the reception the Portuguese received at Anfield.
Jose Mourinho was already a disliked figure among Liverpool faithful, and this time, he arrived at Merseyside as the manager of traditional rivals Manchester United.
However, instead of creating a hostile and intimidating atmosphere for the visiting manager, a lot of Liverpool fans were seen clicking pictures of him.
This surely rubbed a lot of Liverpool fans on Twitter in a wrong way.
"There's no derby like it" while Liverpool fans queue behind the dugout to get photos of Mourinho

Fucking hell. Mourinho walks right in front of the fans & they get their phones out for a picture. Shout obscenities at him for Christ sake

Not sure that Mourinho is gonna be able to cope with the hostility and passion on display at Anfield. pic.twitter.com/aTlfMq5QNG

Those fucking dickheads videoing Mourinho by the dugout shouldn't be there. Put your phones away, we don't need fucking tourists tonight.
