According to the Express, Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal wants to sign Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben in January.
Robben, 30, is a regular in the Bayern side and has been in fine form for the Bundesliga leaders this season. He shone in this summer’s World Cup for the Netherlands national team, formerly managed by Louis Van Gaal, which is why the United boss is keen to renew acquaintances.
According to the Express, Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus is taking up Spanish lessons, with a view to forcing a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The German international, 25, has a release clause attached to his contract, and coupled with Borussia Dortmund greatly underachieving in the Bundesliga, Reus is expected to leave the club in the near future.
