Saturday 27 October 2012

Fulham make the short trip to Berkshire to face a Reading side that have yet to win a Premier League tie this season, and who currently sit in 19th position.

Madejski Stadium

Brian McDermott's side have secured two draws from their last three matches, however they sit level bottom of the league, along with crisis club QPR. On the back of an away defeat to Liverpool, today's clash starts a spell of games that will be crucial to a Reading revival, with subsequent ties away to QPR, home to Norwich, and home to Everton.

Fulham meanwhile are sitting pretty in eight position, one point ahead of London neighbours Arsenal. They have also only lost one of their previous five matches, against Man City thanks to a late Edin Dzeko goal.

Reading have both Adam Federici and Alex McCarthy available in goal, with the former set to get the nod. Forward Noel Hunt faces a fitness battle to be involved, as he recovers from a heel injury. Striker Pavel Pogrebnyak faces his former side for the first time since his summer move.

For Fulham, Simon Davies is unavailable (hip), and Damien Duff is set to return after missing the Aston Villa clash with illnesss.
