Everton vs Liverpool - Match preview and team news

By A Different League staff

Sunday 28 October 2012

Everton host their city rivals Liverpool, looking to continue their excellent start of the season that has seen the Toffees defeated just once in the league. They face a Reds side that are unbeaten in three, games in which they have not conceded.

Goodison Park

David Moyes' side are undefeated in five league matches, picking up two victories. A win at Goodison Park would see them return to the Champions League places, going three points ahead of Arsenal.

Liverpool meanwhile have picked up two wins in their previous three Premier League clashes, including a 1-0 home win over Reading in their last outing.

Steven Pienaar will miss out, having been red-carded in the 1-1 draw with QPR last Sunday. Also in midfield, Darron Gibson is still unavailable, while a late fitness test will be required for Marouane Fellaini.

For Liverpool Pepe Reina is struggling with a hamstring injury, and is doubtful for today's clash. Youngster Andre Wisdom should play at full-back due to the absence of Martin Kelly and Joe Enrique.
