Fulham look to continue their five game unbeaten run when they welcome an out-of-form Sunderland to Craven Cottage.

Craven Cottage

The Cottagers have drawn four and picked up one victory in their last five matches - most recently in a 3-3 draw with Arsenal at home. Martin Jol's men will also be encouraged by their positive home form, which has seen five wins in eight.

Sunderland however come into this clash having failed to win at the last six attempts, with three defeats on the bounce. this has seen Martin O'Neill's side fall to 16th in the Premier League.

Fulham are without Simon Davies and Kieron Richardson, while Chris Baird is suspended. A late decision will be made on Mahamadou Diarra's fitness, but he remains a doubt.

Sunderland are likely to be without star striker Steven Fletcher, who has an ankle injury - the Summer signing from Wolves has netted five of the Black Cat's seven league goals thus far. James McFadden, Lee Cattermole and Phil Bardsley are also out.

Martin Jol

"Stephane Sessegnon had a great season last year and Adam Johnson won't have been cheap. He's one of the bigger talents in England. Up front they've got quality so it won't be a walkover.

"We have to be aware of the fact they can hurt any other team, especially away from home because they didn't pick up the points but four draws out of six games is not great but is not bad either."

Martin O'Neill

“From our own viewpoint it’s very obvious that we need to score a few more goals and to do that we need to create more openings. I think that we’re starting to do that.

“I think that the talented players we possess at the football club are beginning to show the form that we know they’re capable of and that’s very encouraging.”
