Tuesday 20 November 2012

Barcelona are keeping tabs on two of Tottenham's rising stars, according to a report in the Daily Star.

Alex Pritchard

Both Tottenham and Barcelona are in Group 1 of the NextGen Series competition, where youngsters from Europe's top clubs come face-to-face. After five games, Spurs are second, level on points with Barca, following a 4-1 away win for the Lilywhites last time around.

On target that day was Shaquille Coulthirst, who netted a hat-trick, while Alex Pritchard also scored his fourth of the competition.

The report claims the Spanish giants have been impressed with the performances of the duo, and will look to bring them to La Liga.

Pritchard, 19, has his contract expiring at the end of the season, meaning he will be able to leave, with compensation payable. QPR have recently been linked with signing the player.

Coulthirst was top scorer for the Under-18s last season, netting 11 goals in 21 appearances.
