Allardyce interested in bringing Beckham to West Ham

Sam Allardyce could give David Beckham the chance to resume his Premier League career by signing the former England captain when he leaves the LA Galaxy at the end of the current MLS season, but only if Beckham proves he is fit enough for the top flight of English football, Sky Sports has reported.
Beckham earlier this week announced his decision to leave the United States after six years, citing a desire for another challenge in football before the 37-year-old ends his playing career. Beckham is known to have suitors in China and Australia, while petrodollar-fuelled French side Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the ex-Manchester United player.
Allardyce wrote in his newspaper column that he would welcome Beckham at the Boleyn Ground but warned that the midfielder would have to complete the same fitness tests as any other potential signing before a deal could be completed. Beckham was born in the Leytonstone area of London, only a short distance from West Ham’s Upton Park home.
