Chelsea v Fulham - Match preview and team news

Wednesday 28 November 2012

Chelsea look to get back to winning ways under Rafa Benitez, when they welcome city rivals Fulham to Stamford Bridge.

Stamford Bridge

The Blues gave new boss Benitez a frosty welcome in the weekend's 0-0 draw with Champions Man City, and it is likely to be no different tonight. Chelsea's task will be to pick up three points, following a run of two draws and two defeats in the last four outings.

In terms of immediate form, they could be content to be facing Fulham at home - The Cottagers come into this clash on the back of five games without a win, including two defeats in the last two outings.

Benitez will have Gary Cahill available, having missed the Man City clash through injury. Branislav Ivanovic is set to move to the bench, with Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to continue at right-back. Oriol Romeu is also set to replace Jon Obi Mikel in midfield. John Terry, Frank Lampard and Daniel Sturridge are still unavailable.

Fulham are without Alex Kacaniklic, Bryan Ruiz, Kieran Richardson, Simon Davies and the suspended Brede Hangeland. Kerim Frei has returned from a loan spell at Cardiff, having just made three appearances for the South Wales club, and is available for selection.
