Manchester United look to hold on to top spot in the Premier League when they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford.

Old Trafford

United come into this game on the back of two defeats in their last three matches - their weekend 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers getting them back to winning ways after 1-0 losses away to Norwich City and Galatasaray.

West Ham currently sit in eight position, following a positive start to the campaign under Sam Allardyce. Their 3-1 defeat to Spurs at the weekend though made it just one win in the last five for the Hammers, ahead of clashes with United, Chelsea on Saturday, and Liverpool the following week.

For United, Sir Alex Ferguson will bring in Anderson to the starting line-up, but is still without Nani and Antonio Valencia. Shinji Kagawa and Nemanja Vidic are also out. Paul Scholes is suspended for the clash.

West Ham are still without Yossi Benayoun, Ricardo Vaz Te, Alou Diarra, Matt Taylor and Jack Collison. Meanwhile Mark Noble is suspended after picking up five yellow cards. Matt Jarivs is set for a return to the Hammers starting line-up.
