Wednesday 28 November 2012

Two of the Premier League's in-form sides meet at St Mary's Stadium tonight, under the watchful eye of a returning Mark Clattenburg, who will referee his first game since the unfounded allegations of racism made by Chelsea against the match official.

Southampton have recovered from early season results, unbeaten now in their last three outings, and with two wins in a row. Sunday's 2-0 victory over Newcastle moved the Saints up to 13th position, and gave Nigel Adkins' side their first clean sheet of the season.

Norwich meanwhile have enviable form of their own, unbeaten in their last seven matches, of which four wins have been gained. Chris Hughton's side have also earned three draws in the last three league games on the road, but are still searching for a first win away from home this term.

Southampton hope to have Danny Fox back in the squad, having missed the weekend's win with a knee injury. Rickie Lambert should be fit to start despite picking up a knock last time out. Richard Chaplow and Frazer Richardson are unavailable.

Norwich are still without defender Michael Turner, whilst Harry Kane is also out. Russell Martin should return to the squad. John Ruddy is a doubt with a thigh injury, and may face a late test.
