Manchester City look to regain top spot in the Premier League when they travel to the DW Stadium to face Wigan tonight.

Wigan put space between them and the relegation zone with a 3-2 weekend victory over Reading, but will be hoping to build upon that result and improve the consostency of their home results. Two wins from the last seven home league games shows where improvement is necessary for Roberto Martinez's side.

Manchester City meanwhile are unbeaten in their last 19 Premier League games, although recent away draws with West Ham and Chelsea mean they sit one point behind rivals Manchester United. Two wins from the last six away league clashes may give Wigan hope of taking a draw from Roberto Mancini's men.

Martinez is without Gary Caldwell, Ivan Ramis and Shaun Maloney, whose recent knocks mean they join Ben Watson and Albert Crusat on the sidelines. James McArthur and Franco Di Santo are also back in contention having been part of the squad at the weekend against Reading.

Gael Clichy is set to miss out for City, joining Jack Rodwell and Micah Richards on the treatment table.
