Fulham v Tottenham - Match preview and team news

Saturday 01 December 2012

Fulham will be looking to build on their impressive point at rivals Chelsea in midweek and look to continue their good home record by taking three points against London rivals Tottenham. Meanwhile, Andre Villas-Boas’ men look to have recovered from their early-season blip to put together a run of victories that currently puts them on the brink of the Champions League places in fifth place, and with Gareth Bale in absolutely sparkling form.

Craven Cottage

The home side will be without Brede Hangeland for the final match of his three-game suspension, while Bryan Ruiz and Alex Kacaniklic continue to miss out due to hamstring problems. Kieran Richardson however could be available again after recovering from his own hamstring knock, while up front, Martin Jol must choose between Hugo Rodallega, who failed to sufficiently impress at Stamford Bridge, and Croatian forward Mladen Petric to partner the mercurial Dimitar Berbatov.

Tottenham could name an unchanged side from the one that defeated Liverpool in such impression fashion. Villas-Boas may switch Hugo Lloris for Brad Friedel in goal, while vital midfielder Moussa Dembele may not be risked yet again after only just recovering from injury. Elsewhere, Emmanuel Adebayor is once again suspended following the red cared he picked up against Arsenal, while Steven Caulker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Younes Kaboul and Scott Parker remain on the sidelines.
