Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has taken responsibility for his sides' disappointing campaign, and admits he always feels the pressure to deliver, he told Four Four Two.

The Gunners have had their worst start to a season under Wenger's management, currently sitting seventh in the league, and having been knocked-out of the League Cup by Bradford on Tuesday.

Wenger, who joined the club in September 1996, insists it is he, as a longstanding manager, who is responsible for the club's progress:

"I feel responsible for the evolution of the club. When you've been here for 16 years, you're part of the history and the guy who is responsible for the values that the club wants to show in all aspects of daily life.

Arsenal have only recorded one win in their last six outings, and just three from the last 11.

It was revealed publicly last night by Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis that Wenger does have money available to spend, and the supporters have urged the Frenchman to improve the squad in the January transfer window.

Wenger may well be under pressure from the fans to spend big and turn things around, but is not prepared to overreact to the situation:

"I always feel under pressure to deliver, always. You can only be successful if you question yourself."
