Norwich vs Wigan - Match preview and team news
Saturday 15 December 2012
Wigan will look to improve on recent form and escape the relegation zone when they travel to Norwich on Saturday.
Roberto Martinez's side have recorded just one win in six, and failed to take all three points from clashes with the out of form Newcastle or QPR in their last two outings. Scoring goals is proving a problem for the Latics, with only Aston Villa, QPR and Stoke scoring fewer.
Norwich have scored the same amount as today's opponents, 17, however have they conceded six less, and as a result sit in 12th position. A run of nine Premier League games unbeaten has more than made-up for a slow start for Chris Hughton's side, a run that has included wins over Man Utd and Arsenal.
Wigan's Gary Caldwell is likely to miss out with a hamstring strain, while Maynor Figueroa returns after suspension. Long-term injured Albert Crusat, Ryo Miyaichi and Ben Watson are all out, while Ivan Ramis also has a hamstring problem.
Norwich could welcome back Alex Tettey and Wes Hoolahan from thigh and groin injuries respectively, while Harry Kane, on loan from Spurs, comes into contention.
