Cudicini heading for Tottenham exit

Carlo Cudicini could be set to bring an end to his Tottenham Hotspur career after falling to fourth choice under Andre Villas-Boas, the Daily Mirror has reported. The ex-Chelsea custodian has been linked with a move to MLS side LA Galaxy.

Tottenham are understood to be willing to let the Italian leave White Hart Lane on a free transfer and finding themselves overburdened with goalkeepers following the summer purchase of Hugo Lloris. Lloris joined a roster already containing Brad Friedel, the former first choice, Heurelho Gomes, the Brazilian signed by Juande Ramos, and Cudicini.

Cudicini, 39, has been at Tottenham since 2009, playing nearly 40 games for the club after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer. Cudicini previously appeared more than 200 times for the Blues in nearly a decade spent at Stamford Bridge

Gomes is also said to be keen to leave the club, targeting a return to Brazil after nearly a decade in Europe with Tottenham and PSV Eindhoven, but chairman Daniel Levy is holding out for a transfer fee which thus far is proving prohibitive to interested parties.
