Van Persie impressed by Man Utd teammates

Robin van Persie has thanked his Manchester United teammates for making his job of scoring goals easier after the Netherlands international bagged a brace in the Premier League win over Wigan Athletic, Sky Sports has reported.
The double against the Latics were van Persie’s 18th and 19th goals of the season for United, coming in his 26th game for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side. United won the match 4-0 with Javier Hernandez also twice on target, a result that leaves the Red Devils seven points clear of champions Manchester City at the top of the table.
Van Persie said: “This is a special team. Everybody wants to help each other. Everybody's keen for everyone to score. Defenders are working their socks off for the midfielders, the midfielders are working for the strikers.”
United have scored more than 2.5 goals per game in the league this season, playing 21 games and scoring 54 goals. Van Persie has got 16 of United’s league tally, with three more coming in the Champions League as United made safe passage from the group stage. Real Madrid are United’s second round opponents, but van Persie insists the Premier League title remains one of the club’s main objectives.
“Everybody wants to run and everybody has one target in their mind,” van Persie added. “We have to look at it game by game but everybody wants to be champions. I feel that I'm surrounded by champions. They know how to win and that makes it really easy for me.”
