Redknapp eyes QPR market moves

Queens Park Ranger's manager Harry Redknapp has responded to several names his club are reportedly targeting in the transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

Harry Redknapp

Redknapp confirmed that loan deals were unlikely for Tim Cahill and Robbie Keane, both plying their trade in the MLS. However, he admitted he is interested in bringing Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore, whom he worked with whilst in charge at White Hart Lane, across to Loftus Road, and spoke of his admiration for the 23-year-old:

"Jake's a good player. There's lots of time for him. He's a possibility. He's a player I like, if Tottenham are willing to do something, he's someone who'd interest me."

Livermore has started just four games for Spurs this season, despite making 24 league appearances last year under Redknapp. However, only seven of those were as a starter, indicating that the English youngster, despite Redknapp's praise, was not guaranteed a place in the Spurs line-up. He is yet to notch a goal for his club this season, and scoring once last term.

Speaking of the loan moves for Cahill and Keane, Redknapp said: "To bring someone like Robbie or Tim Cahill, you're taking them for about six weeks then you lose them at a time when you've got 10, 12 games to try to stay up. It's difficult. They're fantastic professionals and great players. But I'm not close to doing anything with them."

Redknapp also commented on possible moves for West Ham midfielder Diame, who has a £3.5 million release clause on his contract. Diame has started 15 games for the Hammers this season, scoring twice, and Redknapp believes he could fit at QPR. "He's a top player. You'd love to have him here, but he belongs to West Ham."
