Inter urge Sneijder to decide future amid Liverpool and Tottenham interest

Inter have urged their Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Wesley Sneijder to decide his future on Monday, reports the Daily Mirror.

Sneijder has been attracting interest from across the continent in recent weeks, as Inter look to offload the Dutchman in an effort to aid their current financial woes.

Liverpool have been heavily rumoured to be interested in acquiring the services of a player who has won six medals during his stint at the San Siro, and Spurs have also been linked with a move for the 28-year-old. Turkish champions Galatasaray, however, are presently the only club to have publically courted Sneijder, who looked set to move to Man United in 2011 before the deal fell through at the 11th hour.

Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti told Gazetto dello Sport on Monday morning: “It would be professional if he would make his decision by the end of the day."

The midfielder, however, appears to be calm about his future prospects, stating: “There are still two weeks to go before the end of the transfer window, so there is time. I am relaxed, and I’m considering my options.

Galatasaray confirmed via their official website that the acquisition of Sneijder has been agreed between both clubs, and that negotiations were on-going in relation to personal terms. Coach Fatih Terim, however, has urged the player that he must see Galatasaray as the destination of his choice, and not an alternative.

The 59-year-old, who is currently in his third spell as Gala manager, said: “If Sneijder wants to come to Galatasaray then he must see us as a first choice.

This club is not anyone’s plaything. Those who play here do not see Galatasaray as an alternative, but as a first choice. Otherwise, one must step aside.
