Young Brazilian Lucas Piazon has been loaned out by Chelsea to Champions League surprise packages Malaga

Lucas Piazon
.

The Daily Mail reports that the Spanish side have taken the 18-year-old on a temporary deal until the end of the season.

Piazon has only made three appearances for the Blues since moving to west London from Sao Paulo for £6.8m two years ago. He made his Premier League debut in the 8-0 hammering of Aston Villa before Christmas, missing a penalty in that match.

He will eligible for Malaga’s Champions League quest, as he has not played for Chelsea in that competition this season.

Blues boss Rafael Benitez wants Piazon to gain more experience of first-team football, a tactic which has worked from Romelu Lukaku this season in the Premier League with West Brom. Marko Marin is also expected to head out on loan in the coming days.

Malaga have performed above expectations this season and currently sit in fifth position in La Liga, three points behind fourth place Real Betis.
