Brentford v Chelsea - FA Cup preview and team news

By Adam Mazrani

Sunday 27 January 2013

FA Cup holders Chelsea travel to League 1 outfit Brentford looking to move on quickly from their midweek Capital One Cup exit to Swansea City. The Blues are looking to continue their excellent record in the competition in recent years, which has seen them victorious in four of the last six years. Meanwhile, an unlikely win for Brentford would see them edge closer to equalling their best ever FA Cup performance, the sixth-round.

The Bees, who are currently flying high in third position in League 1, have defender Jake Bidwell suspended, with Scott Barron expected to replace him. Elsewhere, highly-rated midfielder Harry Forrester looks set to start after being rested for the last league fixture.

For Chelsea, Rafa Benitez could look to pair both Fernando Torres and Demba Ba against the lower league opposition. Midfielder Eden Hazard begins his three match ban after being sent off for an altercation with a ballboy during the tie with Swansea in midweek, while David Luiz also misses out with an ankle injury.

John Terry looks set to keep his place in the side after making his first start since November in the week.
