Danny Graham is set to leave Swansea City on Thursday, but he will not be returning to Middlesbrough according to Sky Sports .

Danny Graham

Boro boss Tony Mowbray is keen to add to his firepower in their bid to get promoted from the Championship and made a move for the 27-year-old this morning.

However Graham, who started his career at Middlesbrough, making 15 first team appearances told the Teesiders that he wasn’t interested in moving down the league ladder.

Graham’s preferred destination is Sunderland, and that move is likely to happen as an offer has been accepted of £5m by the Swans.

He has been frustrated at playing second fiddle to Michu at the Liberty Stadium and has been the subject of an official bid from Norwich City, and reported interest from Reading in this transfer window.

Graham signed for Swansea from Watford for £3.5m and scored 15 times in 54 league appearances, helping Michael Laudrup’s men to a historic appearance in the Capital One Cup final next month along the way.
