Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has urged his teammates to react to their FA Cup disappointment with a win against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, reports ESPN.

The Gunners went down to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Championship side Blackburn in the FA Cup on Saturday, leading to a chorus of boos from the Emirates crowd.

Wilshere started the match on the bench, and came on for Thomas Rosicky with 20 minutes to go. But following Colin Kazim-Richard's 72nd minute strike, Arsenal were not able to get back into the tie.

And the England international is calling for a response when they face Bayern in the Champions League in the 1st leg of the last 16 clash:

"It's not ideal to go into a game like that after the loss (against Blackburn), but we have to show our character now.

"We've done it before so we know what we can do. We've beaten big European teams here before so we need to do that again.

"We've got a good bunch of lads in the dressing room. They're winners as well. We've got the likes of Podolski and Arteta. Players like that are winners, they want to win."

Bayern come into the game on the back of 11 wins in a row, and 23 matches unbeaten.
