Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has confirmed his desire to play Champions League football next season, putting Chelsea on high alert, says ESPN.co.uk.

The Belgian midfielder has been linked with the Blues for some time, having impressed for David Moyes' men since signing from Standard Liege in 2008.

But while Fellaini admits he would be tempted by the lure of playing in Europe's elite competition, he insists that he would not force a move away from Goodison Park.

Fellaini said: "Am I interested in Chelsea? It's normal, right? I've never played in the Champions League. I'm happy here, I know everyone, I get along with my team-mates. It's my home. "

"On the other hand, I also want to take the next step. Fate will decide. Everton paid £20 million and do not want to sell me for nothing. If a big club wants me, they will have to pay the price."

Fellaini is leading Everton's charge for Champions League qualification this season, with 11 goals in 24 games for the side who currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League.
