West Ham v Tottenham - Match preview and team news

Monday 25 February 2013

Tottenham make the short trip to Upton Park looking to get the three points that would move them above Chelsea into third in the Premier League. The Hammers meanwhile aim to continue a run of four games unbeaten at home.

Spurs come into the match on the back of just two defeats in their last 20 outings, the most recent of which being their 1-1 draw away to Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday. A mostly full-strength side took part in that clash, although Michael Dawson and Hugo Lloris are expected to be recalled to face West Ham. Sandro and Younis Kaboul are still out long-term, while Jermain Defoe is also set to miss out, Adebayor taking his place as the main striker.

Whilst West Ham's home record may be positive, Sam Allardyce's side have won only one match in the last eight, a 2-0 victory over Swansea. A boost could come in the form of James Collins and Joey O'Brien, who are both set to return from injury. George McCartney is injured and not in contention.
