Celtic might be in Turin preparing for their UEFA Champions League round of 16, second leg tie with Juventus, but that hasn’t stopped manager Neil Lennon looking at future alternatives in regards to his playing squad.

Michael Ngoo

The Scotsman is suggesting the Glasgow giants are keeping a close eye on striker Michael Ngoo, who is currently on-loan at manageress Hearts.

Ngoo joined the Edinburgh side on loan in January from Liverpool, having represented England at both Under-19 and Under-20 level.

He has bagged two goals so far in eight games at Tynecastle, and the Merseysiders look set to allow him to leave for around £2m in the summer.

Celtic’s interest could be spurred on by Gary Hooper’s desire to leave.

The Englishman has scored 58 goals in 87 games at Celtic Park, but is keen to move to the Premier League to help his international prospects.

His reluctance in signing a new contract on Parkhead has QPR and Tottenham interested, whilst Norwich City had six bids rejected in the January transfer window.
