Juventus v Celtic - Champions League preview and team news

Wednesday 06 March 2013

Celtic make the trip to Turin in an unlikely bid to turn over a 3-0 score-line from the first leg against Juventus, and with a more pragmatic target of exiting the Champions League with a small victory and their heads held high. To help them achieve this, 3000 fans have made the trip to the Juventus Stadium.

The Hoops will be boosted by the return of Giorgios Samaras - the Greek forward missed the first leg, but is set to come into the attack tonight, partnering Gary Hooper and Jamie Forrest.

The extra attacking impetus may be needed, as Juventus have now gone 400 minutes in Champions League football without conceding a goal.

Elsewhere for Neil Lennon's side, Scott Brown will miss out with an abductor problem.

Juventus are set to give a start to Luca Marrone in midfield, but Giorgio Chiellini is set to be rested having only just come back from injury at the weekend.

Meanwhile in attack, Alessandro Matri, who netted in the first leg victory, will be partnered up front by Fabio Quagliarella.
