Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has called on his team to work as a unit in order to secure a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, chelseafc.com reports.

The Blues travel to Old Trafford in the sixth round tomorrow to face Manchester United, who are reeling from their Champions League exit to Real Madrid on Tuesday night. Chelsea are the FA Cup holders after their 2-1 win over Liverpool last season and the competition offers Benitez a chance to prove his doubters wrong by improving on Chelsea’s four successes since 2007 in the cup. The Spaniard is under no illusions about the difficulty of the trip to United and is confident Chelsea can make it a week of hell for Sir Alex Ferguson.

Benitez said: “It will be a tough game against a good team who are top of the table. It’s an away game for us, so we know it will be difficult, but we are confident we can go through. Playing against a top side like United, you know that anything can happen. If we work together, we can get a result. United are very strong, but we are a top side.”

The Blues were upset themselves in Europe in midweek after a 1-0 loss to Steaua Bucharest in their Europa League second round first leg in Romania. Benitez rested the likes of Ramires, Victor Moses and Ashley Cole against Bucharest, so they will be pushing for a start away at Old Trafford.
