Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris wants to see his Tottenham Hotspur teammates knuckle down between now and the end of the season and deliver a place in next season’s Champions League to White Hart Lane, Sky Sports has reported.

Spurs lost to Liverpool on Sunday, their first defeat in 12 games, but remain in third place, above Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Tottenham are two points ahead of Chelsea and seven clear of the Gunners, but have played a game more than both of their London rivals.

Lloris, a summer signing from Ligue 1 club Lyon, told the Daily Star he expects his teammates to retain the confidence built from their run of a dozen games unbeaten, and to use that to carry them into the Champions League next season.

This game must not break our confidence,” Lloris said. “We did great things before this game and it's just one game in the season. Anything can happen so we have to look forward. We have to prepare for the next game with great concentration and get three points at the end.

Tottenham next play Serie A side Inter in the second leg of their Europa League fixture, with a 3-0 advantage, before resuming Premier League duty with a London derby against Fulham at White Hart Lane.
