Tottenham full-back Kyle Walker was a special guest as George Tsirita won the title of FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) 2013 UK champion on Tuesday evening.

The FIWC is the largest online gaming tournament on the planet, and sees FIFA '13's best players go head-to-head in a bid to win $20,000 cash and an invite to the 2014 FIFA Ballon d'Or.

After being crowned the winner of the UK leg after a 3-2 win over reigning champion Ty Walton, Tsirita was challenged to a game by Walker - and promptly saw off the England right-back with a 2-0 victory.

Walker said: "Some of the Spurs boys really fancy themselves on FIFA '13 but I’ll be telling them at training that they are nowhere near as good as these guys. George is unbelievable and I wish him well in the Grand Final."

London-based Tsirta was among 200,000 FIFA '13 players across the country who have competed against each other since October in an attempt to reach the Grand Final.

He now advances to that event, taking place in Madrid, where he will attempt to beat gamers who have triumphed in other territories.

He said: "It’s still sinking in that I’ve actually won, there were some great players here today so I’m delighted to have made it through. The standard will be even higher at the final in Madrid, so I’ll be sure to keep practicing."

Contestants interested in participating in this years's FIWC can still do so through the online tournament played on the PLAYSTATION®Network, by registering ‘in-game’ in FIFA ’13 on their PS3. For more information on the FIWC, go to: www.fifa.com/fiwc
