Tottenham vs Fulham - Match preview and team news

Sunday 17 March 2013

After their Europa League qualification in midweek, Tottenham look to get back to domestic success with a win over inconsistent Fulham at White Hart Lane.

White Hart Lane

Spurs’ 12-game unbeaten run was drawn to a close by Liverpool last weekend in a game ridden with individual errors from the North Londoners. However, Tottenham have not lost at home since 3rd November and will welcome back Gareth Bale, who was suspended for the Thursday tie with Inter.

Aaron Lennon could be back in the starting XI after coming off the bench in Milan and Hugo Lloris and Michael Dawson are expected to return to the fold after being rested.

Fulham sit just outside the top half with three games unbeaten, but have only won twice on their travels this season. Manager Martin Jol and striker Dimitar Berbatov return to the clubs they began their English managerial and playing career respectively.

Berbatov has scored three in his last four for the Cottagers and is expected to lead the line against Spurs. Steve Sidwell has shaken off an injury and should be fit to start, but fellow midfielder Mahamadou Diarra misses out with a knee injury that may end his season.
