Ajax deny Liverpool deal for Eriksen
Ajax have rubbished reports which claim the club have already agreed to sell Christian Eriksen to Liverpool in the summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Danish playmaker has dazzled Eredivisie crowds over the past few seasons with a number of high quality performances for Frank de Boer's men - putting Premier League clubs, including the Reds, on high alert.
But while the Dutch giants are resigned to losing the 21-year-old at the end of the season, they insist that there is no deal in place for Eriksen to leave the Amsterdam Arena at the moment.
Ajax press manager Eefje Schep said: "We will send out a press release when there is an agreement. Also if there is only a deal between Ajax and the club. So at this time there is no agreement between Ajax and Liverpool."
Last season's Dutch Footballer of the Year has just one year remaining on his contract and has told Ajax that he has no intention of signing a new deal, forcing the club to accept bids.
Eriksen is enjoying another fine campaign this season, scoring 12 goals in the Eredivisie so far.
