Nicklas Bendtner is expected to leave Arsenal in the near future after the Gunners received a number of offers for the Denmark international, according to Sky Sports.

Bendtner, who spent last season on loan at Serie A winners Juventus, has been at Arsenal since 2005 and turned down a move to Bundesliga outfit Hamburg in January. Arsene Wenger is understood to be willing to accept a lower offer for the 25-year-old this summer than in the winter, however, with the asking price down to £3m.

Two other Bundesliga teams, Borussia Monchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt, are among the clubs said to have come to an agreement with Arsenal, along with Turkish club Besiktas. According to Bendtner himself, there are two more clubs who have matched the Gunners’ requirements.

Speaking to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Bendtner said: “Arsenal have agreed with five clubs so now it is up to me to make a choice.

I will make that choice within the next 14 days. They are all good clubs. It is a hugely important choice I'm faced with. I must go where I am wanted. As a footballer, there is only one thing that can make you happy: playing time.

Bendtner, who has not played for Arsenal since 2011 after spending a season with Sunderland, added that he is willing to move to a less prestigious club in order to get more game time.

Will it be good for me to go to a big club where I risk the bench? No, I'd rather go somewhere where the club is located just below the top where I can play every week,” he said. “I can take a step back to take three forward.
