Mourinho happy to make Premier League return at Chelsea
Returning Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that the Premier League is his favourite competition. The confident Mourinho also went on to tell Sky Sports that he believes he is a better manager now than he was during his first stint at the club.
Mourinho stated that he is ready for the “salt and pepper” of English football, claiming that he relished the unpredictability of the league. The Portuguese boss won the Premier League title twice in his first Stamford Bridge tenure but he has claimed that he is now an even better manager than he was then. The 50-year-old has made the claims in a press conference ahead of his Blue’s season opener against Hull on Sunday. He added: “I am better than ever and I want to give everything to this club.”
Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge this summer after interim manager Rafael Benitez left the club at the end of last season. Although he has not brought in many new faces the enigmatic boss is still trying to get some deals one, with Wayne Rooney a target.
