Cissokho to complete Liverpool move
Liverpool are expected to wrap up the loan signing of Valencia left-back Aly Cissokho in the very near future after the defender completed a medical, the Daily Mirror has reported.
Cissokho will become the fifth signing of the summer for manager Brendan Rodgers, the newspaper adds, following on from Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure. Cissokho was wanted by Rodgers to give Jose Enrique competition for his place, and will cost £4m if Liverpool want to make the move permanent.
The 25-year-old started his senior career in his native France with Gueugnon, moving to Vitoria Setubal on Portugal in 2008. From there he was picked up by Porto, before a switch back to France with Lyon. He spent three years with Lyon before a move to Valencia in 2012 and made 36 appearances for the club last season.
Liverpool are also waiting to hear the decision of Anzhi Makhachkala playmaker Willian, according to the Mirror, as Tottenham Hotspur rival the Reds for his signature, while Rodgers has also renewed his interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Llori.
