Tottenham target Hulk not for sale, say Zenit
Zenit St Petersburg manager Luciano Spalletti has insisted that striker Hulk, who is being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur, is not for sale, Sky Sports is reporting.
Despite having already signed Spanish forward Roberto Soldado this summer, Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to add another striking option, with Emmanuel Adebayor unlikely to play a major role this season.
The north Londoners have already been very active in the transfer window this summer. Other than Soldado, they have secured deals for midfielders Paulinho and Etienne Capoue, along with winger Nacer Chadli. They also narrowly missed out on Anzhi Makhachkala playmaker Willian.
And Hulk has been persistently linked with a move to England. He joined Zenit last summer in a £32m deal and has gone on to score 13 goals in 35 outings. That followed a successful time at FC Porto, where he scored 78 goals in 169 appearances in all competitions. He was also a regular in the Brazil team that won this year’s Confederations Cup.
With speculation linking the 27-year-old with a move to White Hart Lane, Spalletti responded by saying: “Hulk is not for sale.”
