Real Madrid to make January move for Liverpool striker Suarez
Although the summer transfer window has been shut barely a week, Real Madrid are reportedly plotting their next raid on the Premier League. The Daily Mirror are claiming that the Spanish giants are planning to spend the money recouped by the Mesut Ozil transfer to bring in Luis Suarez from Liverpool.
Reports out of Spain are suggesting that Madrid are ready to use the £42m brought in by the Ozil transfer to tempt Suarez with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Uruguayan striker was rumoured to be a target for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, however they dropped their interest in order to complete the record signing of Gareth Bale.
It is claimed that the Real boss is still keen to bring in a striker after losing both Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon this summer. However Suarez, whose 10-game ban will be over shortly and could see him feature in the Reds’ League Cup encounter against Manchester United, has now insisted that he is keen to stay in Merseyside.
Though the Spanish media are also claiming that should Madrid fail in their attempts to lure Suarez, they will then turn their attention to Monaco’s Radamel Falcao.
