New Arsenal signing Ozil hailed by Ramsey

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has hailed the club’s new record signing, Mesut Ozil, the Daily Express has reported, after the German impressed on his Gunners debut at Sunderland on Saturday.
Ozil helped set up the opening goal for Olivier Giroud early on, while Ramsey secured the 3-1 victory with two second half strikes. And the Welshman, who has himself made an impressive start to the season, has praised the impact that the 24-year-old has made since joining for £42.5m on transfer deadline day.
He said: “You saw what Mesut is all about with those lovely, telling through balls to set people up one on one with the keeper. He’s an unbelievable talent.
“The timing of the pass is everything. He has a wonder of a left foot and the way he strokes the ball means that the passes always seem to be perfectly weighted right into players’ strides. Mesut hasn’t been cracking any jokes so far, he has just been quiet, getting on with his job, but he seems a really great person, both on and off the pitch.’
After playing in Germany for Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen, Ozil was signed by Real Madrid after impressing at the 2010 World Cup. During the time at the Bernabeu, he scored 27 goals in 159 appearances, and the Spanish giants’ decision to let him go in the wake of their purchase of Gareth Bale has surprised many.
