Napoli increase interest in Chelsea and Man Utd target Lewandowski

Rafael Benitez’ Napoli are to step up their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, as the look to move a step ahead of Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the race for the Poland international, reports the Daily Express.
Lewandowski has looked set to join former teammate Mario Gotze at Bayern for next summer, when his contract expires, but now it appears he could move elsewhere, after the 25-year-old’s agent revealed that Napoli had made contact.
Raffaelle Auriemma told Italian radio station CRC: "Napoli on Lewandowski? I can not tell you how long I spoke with Aurelio De Laurentiis. It must remain between us. But I can tell you that we have recently had contact. "What do I think of Napoli? They are a tough team to handle.
"Nobody thinks they can win the Champions League, but they have a very good coach in Rafael Benitez, good management and very competitive players."
Chelsea and United were both linked with Lewandowski during the summer as they both looked to sign a striker. During his time with Dortmund, Lewandowski has scored 80 goals in 146 games, including four in five Bundesliga games this season, and he helped the club reach the Champions League final last season.
