Liverpool’s Sakho plans future PSG return
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, who has recently joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain, has hinted that he would like to return to the French champions some time in the future, reports Sky Sports.
Sakho completed his move to Anfield for around £15m on transfer deadline day and has started both games since, against Swansea City and Southampton. However, during an emotional speech in Paris, he indicated that he may go back for a second spell at Parc des Princes later in his career.
He said: “I'm very proud to come here tonight. I remember when I was young, I was up there, there in the stands and watched PSG play. I have now turned a page. My story with PSG isn't over yet.
Sakho came through the youth ranks at PSG and made his debut at the age of 17 in 2007. He went on to become the club’s captain at the age of 21 but struggled for regular football in his final year at the club. Overall he scored seven goals in 197 appearances during his time in the French capital.
