Hull vs West Ham - Premier League preview and team news
Hull will look to extend an impressive run to four games unbeaten this weekend and will hope home advantage will be enough to see off travelling West Ham.
Having sealed dramatic victory against Newcastle thanks to a Sone Aluko beauty, Hull have also drawn with Cardiff while seeing off Huddersfield midweek. What is even more encouraging for the club are the measly two losses they boast up to this point. Hull fans will be hoping their good form will carry on with games against West Ham and Aston Villa coming up - ones in which they will be expected to pick up some points.
Sam Allardyce has expressed concerns about a lack of goals so far this season and its easy to see why - up until last week’s game with Everton West Ham had failed to score a league goal since their opening day victory over Cardiff. Even with the club scoring twice they slipped to a 3-2 loss against Everton, and Allardyce will be hoping their dramatic win over Cardiff has boosted confidence around Upton Park. They have players with Premier League quality and experience, and it will surely not be long before goals are found.
James Chester is definitely out for Hull after sustaining a hamstring injury, while Robert Koren is expected to return from a foot injury but still may not feature. Maynor Figueroa is expected to still miss out on compassionate leave.
Andy Carroll is still missing for the Hammers but they are expected to welcome back Joe Cole and Stewart Downing from injury, while Guy Demel should overcome a slight thigh problem.
