Tottenham to make January bid for Leyton Orient's Odubajo
Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas will be given more money to spend in the January transfer window, and Leyton Orient winger Moses Odubajo is among his list of targets, according to the Metro.
Odubajo has played a crucial role in Leyton Orient’s brilliant start to the League One season with two goals and seven assists in 12 appearances, helping Russell Slade’s side to victory in all of their first eight games, a run which ended with a 1-1 draw with Walsall on Saturday.
Villas-Boas and Tottenham invested heavily in big-name players during the summer, with over £100m spent on the likes of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Paulinho and Roberto Soldado among others. However, much of that money was recouped, partly due to the world record sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
The White Hart Lane club are planning a £1m offer for Odubajo, 20, in the New Year, although Arsenal and Manchester United are also thought to be interested. Orient reportedly value the player at around £3m, but he could push for a move after being informed of the interest.
