Man Utd’s Januzaj in line to make European debut
Wednesday 23 October 2013
Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed that young winger Adnan Januzaj could make his Champions League debut against Real Sociedad on Wednesday, reports manutd.com.
Januzaj has been added to Man Utd’s Champions League squad after becoming eligible for their ‘B’ list on October 7, having sat out their opening two Group A games against Bayer Leverkusen and Shakhtar Donetsk, from which the Red Devils gained four points from a possible six.
The 18-year-old has made a considerable impression since breaking into the Man Utd first-team. After making his first appearance against Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield, he has forced his way into the starting line-up, marking his full Premier League debut with both goals in a victory away to Sunderland.
And despite having several injury doubts ahead of the visit of the Spanish side to Old Trafford, including Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, Moyes has said that Januzaj could play a part. He told the pre-match press conference: "Januzaj is available.
‘He's an exciting young player and he's making good progress all the time. He's someone who, I'm sure, will play a big part in the future of Manchester United. He's an exceptional talent."
