Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen has joined the race to sign Dinamo Moscow winger Balazs Dzsudzsak in January, with Liverpool already interested, writes The Mirror.

With the Dutchman recently appointed as Martin Jol’s successor after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to West Ham United, Meulensteen would like to improve the squad with owner Shahid Khan likely to provide the funds.

But Meulensteen will have to join the race for the Hungarian international, with Liverpool making enquiries for the winger and nearly signing him last summer.

The 26-year-old, who is the most expensive player in Hungarian football after a move from Anzhi Makhachkala for around £15m, is now open to a move away from Dinamo Moscow.

Dzsudzsak appeared 27 times last season for Dinamo Moscow in the league, scoring five goals, and has played 10 times for the club this campaign.

Brendan Rodgers may be tempted to sign the winger having failed to last season as the club were not showing willingness to sell him, according to Dzsudzsak’s agent.
